10-05 Living in Seoul Orientation (시작일: 2018-10-05 ~ 2018-10-05)
장소: Itaewon Global Village Center
“Are you new to Seoul?”
“Are you curious about what there is to see and do in the city?”
“Do you know about all of the support services available for foreigners?”
 
On Friday,  October 5th, from 9:30am to 12:00pm, we will be having a Living in Seoul Orientation Session at the Itaewon Global Village Center. At this session you will be able to learn about all the services and cultural opportunities that are out there for foreigners living in this city.
There will be an informative presentation from various institutions (Yongsan Police, KEB-Hana bank, etc.), a Q&A session, and finally refreshments and a chance to mingle with the other guests at the end. All those who attend will also receive a package of brochures, maps, and guides that will help make your life in Seoul a lot easier and more enjoyable. It is free of charge and anyone is welcome to attend. We just ask that you get in touch with us so we know how many people to expect. 10-12 Doodling Art Drawing Class (시작일: 2018-10-12 ~ 2018-10-12)

On Friday, October 12th, 10:00am-12:00pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Doodling Art Drawing Class.” The instructor, Erica Lan is a founder of “Ozart creativity” Art Studio and Products (Taiwan, Austrailia). She is a highly skilled creative Art, Craft and Design teacher. She provides a rich and varied art education for all of students teaching diverse art styles, design techniques and craft skills.
 
Doodling is a drawing developed from a random, visual starting point, like a squiggle, and can be used to break with patterns of thinking, stimulate imaginary images and ideas or provide visual brainstorms, often with a surprising and fresh result.
 
Through this class we are going to try various patterns. Patterns you create can express your own emotions. All participants will get to show their creative side by drawing on a white blank paper. Not an artist? Do not fret, you just need to let your creative juices flowing!
 
The fee would be 20,000 won (per person / Cash only). You can sign up in person or by email only. (Only Foreigners can join this program.) **Pre-payment and pre-registration are required***

10-24 Join us for Seoul Baekje Museum! (시작일: 2018-10-24 ~ 2018-10-24)
장소: Seoul Baekje Museum
On Wednesday, October 24h, 2:00pm-4:00pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Join us for Seoul Baekje Museum” activity. Participants will have a wonderful experience to explore the history and artifacts of Baekje at Seoul Baekje Museum.
 
Seoul Baekje Museum preserves the history and culture of the Baekje kingdom which established the capital of Hanseong which later would become Seoul. The history of Seoul dates back thousands of years when the Baekje kingdom flourished on the banks of the Han River. Artifacts and displays in the museum focus on prehistoric times and on the 500 year history of the Baekje from 18 B.C. to 475 A.D. The museum is located at Olympic Park.

10-26 Hanji Craft Class (시작일: 2018-10-26 ~ 2018-10-26)
장소: Itaewon Global Village Center
On Friday, October 26th, 2:00pm-4:00pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Hanji Flower Jar making Class” Participants will make a beautiful Hanji flower jar using colorful Korean Traditional paper, Hanji and flower silk paper.
 
Hanji is a paper made from all natural ingredients and it has been used in Korea for centuries. In the past, it was used in daily life, making books, windows and doors. The paper is so durable that layered Hanji was even used as an armor that could stop arrows. These days Hanji is used for mostly decorative purposes such as making dolls, wrapping paper, decorative boxes, and other handicrafts.
 
Participants can cut and glue Hanji and form their own pattern following each own’s personal preference. The lid has a handle with a traditional shell encrusted pattern, so the overall design is antique and elegant. The size of the flower jar that we are going to make is as following; width:190mm*190mm, height:130mm. This jar can be used as a cookie box, a jewelry box, or a present box. The purpose of using is at your own choice.
 
The participation fee is 30,000 won(per person/Cash Only). You can sign up in person or by email only. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. This class is open to foreigners only. To sign-up by email please email us your name, nationality, phone number and email address.
