05-17 Mini Album Photo Scrapbooking Class (Start Date: 2019-05-17 ~ 2019-05-17)
Place: Itaewon Global Village Center
On Friday, May 17th, 10:00am-12:00pm, Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Mini Album Photo Scrapbooking Class.”
 
Do you want to collect your special moments in a beautiful and original albums? This is the class for you!
 
Starting from a sheet of paper, we will build the photo album, then we will glue the photos and then we will decorate it with your original ideas. The album will have 12 pages, plus the cover, so you can decide before how many photos you want to bring. The photo size have to be 9x7 cm maximum each.
 
The participants don’t need particular skills to join the class, everybody can join. At the end of the class you can bring home your special Album photo to keep or to give as gifts.
 
The class fee for this class is 20,000won. Complete details will be emailed to you after registration. (Pre-registration & pre-payment are required.)

05-23 [ITAEWON GVC] Mandala Plate Designing Class (Start Date: 2019-05-23 ~ 2019-05-23)
Place: Itaewon Global Village Center
On Thursday, May 23rd, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, Itaewon Global Village Center, with the help of Ms. Erica Lan, will hold another “Mandala Plate Designing Class.”
 
Dotting on plate Mandala art looks really complex at first but it is really simple! Start from dot-by-dot, using acrylic paint in a wide range of vivid colors and finishes. We will play with colors by doing the same thing over and over as we finish the design we are aiming for. Though it looks difficult it is actually very relaxing and lets you stay in the moment.
 
The instructor, Erica Lan is the founder of “Ozart creativity” Art Studio and Products (Taiwan, Austrailia). She is a highly skilled and creative Art, Craft and Design teacher. She provides a rich and varied art education for all of students teaching diverse art styles, design techniques and craft skills.

05-24 [ITAEWON GVC] Najeon Mirror Making Class (Start Date: 2019-05-24 ~ 2019-05-24)
Place: NMOK
On Friday, May 24th, 10:00am-12:00pm, we will be taking a trip to the National Museum of Korea for another traditional Korean craft class, “Making a mirror using 나전칠기(Lacquerware inlaid with mother of pearl).” Participants will have a chance to make a lacquerware mirror using mother of pearl inlay. Lacquerware items are very beautiful and can be used as excellent gifts.
 
This kind of craftwork (Najeon) has a long history in Korea, and lacquerware artifacts have been unearthed in ancient tombs dating back to even before the three kingdoms period (57 BC to 668 AD).
 
Each participant will be able to make one mirror which they can take home. The size of the mirrors is about 12cm x 12 cm. Also, if you haven’t had the chance to see the National Museum you could take this opportunity to check it out after the class.

05-24 Mug Painting Class for Parents and Kids (Start Date: 2019-05-24 ~ 2019-05-24)
Place: Itaewon Global Village Center
On Friday, May 24th, from 4:20pm to 5:50pm, Itaewon Global Village Center will hold another “Mug Painting Class for Parents and Kids.” This time we will be designing heart-shaped mugs.
 
Each pottery (mug) will be given to each participant. Participants will be able to sketch and color their own pottery using the colors they want and draw whatever ones heart desires. This class does not include molding and baking. All of the materials will be prepared including aprons.
 
After the class, instructor will take all ceramics to her atelier for firing. All finished works will be delivered to Itaewon GVC in two weeks. Center’s staff will email participants to come over and pick it up when the participants are available. The finished work can be used safely in daily life as there would be no impurity after baking at 1250 degrees.
 
Don’t miss the chance to design your own mug! The participation fee would be 25,000won for 2 cups—1 for the parent, 1 for the child (each additional cup is 12,000won).
 
Pre-registration and pre-payment will be required for preparation. You can sign up in person or by email only. (Only Foreigners can join this program.)

05-25 [ITAEWON GVC] Kids & Parents Cooking Class (Start Date: 2019-05-25 ~ 2019-05-25)
Place: Chungjungone Cooking Studio
On Saturday, May 25th, from 10:00am-12:00pm, Itaewon Global Village Center will host a Kids & Parents Cooking Class. This time, we will be learning how to cook a traditional Korean food: Chicken Bulgogi, and also bake muffins!
 
Bulgogi, is literally translated as “fire meat.” It is derived from two Korean words, “bul” which means “fire,” and “gogi,” which is the Korean word for meat. Usually, Koreans use thin slices of beef or pork for this dish but this time, we will be learning how to make bulgogi using chicken. 
 
After that, we will also get to bake some lemon muffins and participants will get to take home what they made.
 
This a fun way to bond with your children and also learn about Korean culture.
 
The participation fee would be 15,000won (per team: 1 child + 1 parent ONLY). Additional 15,000won should be paid per additional child (Ex. 2 children, 1 parent = 30,000won).

Note: This class is intended for children to learn how to cook. Parents will be assisting their children. Due to space constraints, two parents + 1 child  is NOT ALLOWED.
