07-16 [ITAEWON GVC] K-pop Dance Class (Start Date: 2019-07-16 ~ 2019-07-16)
Place: Cheongpadong Community Center
On Tuesday, July 16th, 10:30pm-12:30pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a one-day K-pop dance class.
 
This is a great chance to learn K-pop dance according to the music titled “Boy with Luv” by BTS. Through this class, you will be learning the steps to the first verse of the song. The venue of this event will be near Sookmyeong Women’s Univ Station (Line 4).
 
This class is free of charge. Pre-registration by email is required. Specific details will be emailed to you once you have registered. (Only foreigners can join this program).

07-18 [ITAEWON GVC] Snack House Making for Kids (Start Date: 2019-07-18 ~ 2019-07-18)
Place: Crown Haitai Kids Museum(Soomyung Women Univ. station or Namyeoung station)

On Thursday, July 18th, 2:00pm-3:00pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Snack House Making Class for Kids” in Crown Haitai Museum. Crown Haitai Kids Museum is run by Haitai Confectionery & Foods Co. which produces snacks, ice cream and etc. The place is located near Namyeoung Station.
 
Hansel and Gretel house is usually found in story books, but this time, kids can make the fantasy come true! Children will make their own snack house with different kinds of snacks and starch syrup.
 
This class is for the children age 6~10. If the child is under 6, the parents can help them make the house together. Participants can carry the finished house home as the bag will be provided.
 
~~The museum has 10 different types of play rooms (optional);
Kinetic art zone, retinispora play field, media play zone, big & small block play zone, wind lab, drawing board, rock climbing, under water art play and music & instrument zone. The play zone is for 5~7 year-old children. (NOTE: entrance fee for the play zone is NOT included. If you want to go inside the play zone, you should pay for it separately on the day of the class (children 10,000won / adults 4,000won))
 
The fee would be 10,000 won (per one snack house / the charge for play rooms are not included). You can sign up in person or by email only. (Only Foreigners can join this program.)

07-19 National Museum of Korean Contemporary History Tour (Start Date: 2019-07-19 ~ 2019-07-19)
Place: National Museum of Contemporary History Tour
On Friday, July 19, 10:30am-12:30pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center, will commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the March 1st Independence Movement and the establishment of Korean Provisional Government by holding the “National Museum of Korean Contemporary History Tour”.
 
This tour has ; 1) Tour with Explanations in English
- Exhibition hall 01: ‘Prelude to the Republic of Korea (1876-1948)' covers the period from when Korea opened its ports to foreign countries to when the nation was liberated from Japanese colonial rule.
- Exhibition hall 02: ‘Foundation of the Republic of Korea' covers the period of the foundation of the Republic of Korea and the Korean War.
2) Free tour: You can visit the Hwangtomaru Garden(rooftop garden), Museum shop and so on.
 
The venue of this tour will be near Gwanghwamun Station (line 5). This tour is free of charge but registration is a must. Specific details will be emailed to you once you have registered. To join, please email us your name, nationality and phone number.(Only foreigners can join this program).

07-23 [ITAEWON GVC] Hanji Paper Making and Museum Tour for Kids (Start Date: 2019-07-23 ~ 2019-07-23)
Place: Paper Museum (Dongadae subway station Line3)
On Tuesday, July 23rd, 3:00pm-4:30pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Hanji Paper Making and Museum Tour for Kids” in Jong Ie Nara Paper Art Museum.
 
Paper is made of plant fibers soaked in water and pressed together. Korean paper, Hanji has been made using this technique for over 1500 years. It is made of mulberry bark or “Dak” in Korean. Kids will learn how to make Hanji and experience the process of making Hanji by scooping the water of Dak fibers using strainer. Children will also decorate hanji with colored paper or dried flowers to create their own Hanji. Children age above 6 (international age) can join.
 
While waiting for the hanji to be dried, children and parents will walk for a tour around the paper art museum exhibition hall. You will see various works made of paper.
 
The fee would be 10,000 won (per person who join for Hanji making). You can sign up in person or by email only. (Only Foreigners can join this program.)

07-24 [ITAEWON GVC] Pilates Course for Beginners (Start Date: 2019-07-24 ~ 2019-08-28)
Place: Cheongpadong Community Center
From July 24th to August 28th every Wednesday(total 6 days) at 2:30pm-4:30pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Pilates Course for Beginners with Mini gym ball and Latex band.” Participants will have a chance to learn about Pilates.
 
Pilates aims to strengthen the body in an even way, with particular emphasis on core strength to improve general fitness and wellbeing. Pilates exercises are done on a mat with some equipments that the instructor requires throughout the session. All the equipments will be provided.
 
There's some evidence that Pilates can provide pain relief to people with non-specific lower back pain. Pilates is classed as a muscle-strengthening activity, which can help you maintain a healthy weight. Classes can vary in intensity: they can be gentle or dynamic and offer a solid workout.
 
We will be waiting for you to join and have meaningful experience learning what Pilates is.
 
Mini gym ball, latex band, and mat will be provided. Participants will need to prepare own gym clothes.
 
The participation fee is 30,000 won (per person/ for the whole 6 sessions/Cash Only). You can sign up in person or by email only
