09-24 [ITAEWON GVC] ONLINE Cooking Class (Start Date: 2020-09-24 ~ 2020-09-24)
Place: ONLINE
On Thursday, September 24th(from 10:30am to 12:30pm), Itaewon Global Village Center will host an “Online Cooking Class: Pickled Vegetables & Kkoma Kimbap” which is provided by Food and Culture Korea.

For this class, we will be learning 2 dishes: pickled vegetables and kkoma kimbap. Pickled vegetables are one of the most beloved side dishes in Korea. Pickling vegetbales are one of the ways to store food longer. Thus, it is a great way to reduce food waste. The other dish we will be making is “Kkoma Kimbap.” Kimbap is a like a sushi roll made of rice rolled in “kim” or seaweed nori. “Kkoma” in Korean means “small,” and compared to ordinary kimbap this is almost just as long as your fingers. Kkoma kimbap is popularized in Gwangjang Market, there it is also called as “Mayak Kimbap” - mayak means “addictive.” It’s so delicious you keep on eating it! Also we’ll be learning how to make dipping sauce for kkoma kimbap.

Since this class will be held online, participants will have to prepare the ingredients in advance. We will email you which ingredients to buy and on the day of the class we will follow the instructions of the teacher via online class (using zoom).

This class is free of charge but registration is a must. All details will be emailed to you after registration. To register, please email us your name, nationality, phone number and email address. *Pre-registration is required for this program.*Only foreigners can join this program.
