Korea Immigration & integration program (KIIP)

The program aims to support foreigners acquire basic knowledge and information
(Korean language and culture) so that they can become self-reliant members of Korean society
 
# Who can participate?
Foreigners residing in Korea who want to acquire status of sojourn such as nationality and permanent residency, and those within 3 years of acquiring nationality
 
# What are the courses?
Level 0 to 4 : Korean language and culture
Level 5 : Understanding Korean Society
 
# Course Hours
Level 0 - 15 hours
Level 1 to 4 – 100 hours each
Level 5 - 70 hours (~ 21.08.15.)
100 hours (from 21.08.16.~)
From now to till 21.08.15. : 50 hours, additional 20 hours for intensive course
(*50 hours for acquiring permanent residency, 70 hours for acquiring nationality)
From 21.08.16. ~ : 70 hours, additional 30 hours for intensive course
(*70 hours for acquiring permanent residency, 100 hours for acquiring nationality)
 
# How can I apply?
Register as a member on Socinet (www.socinet.go.kr), apply for the Korea Immigration & Integration Program
 
# Associated courses: Intermediate level of Korean language education (in universities, corporations, communities),
                                Korean Language Proficiency Test (TOPIK), marriage migration visa.
