|제목||"Kinchaku" Japanese Drawstring Bag Making Class|
|On Friday, March 15th, 10:00am-12:00pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Japanese drawstring bag –Kinchaku- making Class” Participants will make a beautiful Japanese drawstring bag, Kinchaku, using colorful Kimono fabric and a woven basket. Japanese instructor brought all the Kimono fabrics from Japan. All the materials will be prepared.
Kinchaku (巾着,きんちゃく) is a traditional Japanese drawstring bag or pouch, worn like a purse or handbag, for carrying around personal possessions when people wear Japanese traditional clothes, Kimono or Yukata. Nowadays Kinchaku is more commonly used in daily life as a daily bag.
Participants will need to sew the fabric they chose and attach it with the woven basket following the instructions. As this is a one-day class, cutting the fabric and threading the drawstring will be done by the instructor beforehand, so the process is rather simple. The size of the bag that we are going to make is as follows: width:180mm*150mm, height:200mm.
The participation fee is 25,000 won (per bag/Cash Only). You can sign up in person or by email only.
