On Monday, June 3rd, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, Itaewon Global Village Center, together with Seocho Tourist Information Center, will hold a Cooking Class for Foreigners. Participants will be making “Andong Jjimdak.”
 
“Andong Jjimdak” is a variety of a chicken stew dish that originates from a place called Andong in Gyeongsangbuk-do province. “Jjimdak” is derived from two Korean words: “Jjim” (steamed) and “dak” (chicken). It is made with chicken, various vegetables like potato, carrots, and green onions, and served together with flat glass noodles. It is marinated and boiled in Korean soy sauce. Compared to other Chicken stew dishes, Andong jjimdak is soy-sauce based and does not use red pepper paste.
 
This is a group cooking class where participants will be paired-up to make one dish. After the class, participants can eat together or take it home.
