|In celebration of “Chuseok” (Korean Thanksgiving), Yongsan-gu District Office and Itaewon Global Village Center will be holding a “Chuseok Celebration” for foreign residents on September 5th (Thursday) from 10:00am-12:00pm at Yongsan Seodang. All foreigners (including children age 6 years old and above) are encouraged to join!
Through this program, you will be learning about Korean Thanksgiving through four activities: proper way of wearing hanbok, learning Korean etiquette, making songpyeon (traditional rice cake) and learning about Korean tea ceremony. All of this for only 5,000won (per participant).
Yongsan Seodang is a designated place for learning Korean traditional etiquette. It was established by the Yongsan District Office to make sure that young Koreans will not forget their ancient traditions and etiquette. Also, this place is open to foreigners to learn more about Korean traditional culture through programs like this.
