|Subject||601 Habit: Philippine Native Jewelry Making Class|
The Philippines had always celebrated its rich culture through the celebration of the “Linggo ng Wika” (National Language Week) since 1946. It became a month-long celebration since 1997 and so, every month of August literary-musical activities and programs are being hosted to promote the Filipino language and the Filipino culture. For this year, the theme of the celebration in the Philippines is “Filipino: Wika ng Pambansang Kaunlaran” (“Filipino: The Language for National Development”).
The ladies of The 601 Habit have welcomed and embraced the culture of South Korea through the years but retained their pride for the richness of the Filipino culture. The celebration of the “Buwan ng Wika” (“National Language Month”) in the Philippines inspires the ladies to contribute to the promotion of the Filipino culture among Filipino-Korean families and the foreign community here in Seoul.
We would like to invite everyone to join us on August 19th, 10:00am~ 12:00pm for a Philippine Native Jewelry Making Class. This class is free of charge (sponsored by 601 Habit Organization). We will be learning not only about the culture of the Philippines but also how to make jewelry using native materials from the Philippines.
