On Friday, February 24th, 1:00pm-3:00pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Dancheong Accessory ‘Pendant’ Making Class.” Participants will make a very unique and colorful accessory using Korean traditional paintwork skills, Dancheong.
'Dancheong' means a painting composed of the following colors: blue, red, yellow, white, and black. As an expression in a broader sense, it means all actions engaged in with writings, pictures, colors, etc. Also, as a consultative expression, only the 'colored buildings', including Buddhist temples, palaces, tombs, Local Confucian School, Confucian Academies, etc., are called "Dancheong".
Based on the attachment, you can make it as Necklace, Key-holder, or Brooch etc. Various attachments will be prepared on the class day. The participation fee is 15,000 won. You can sign up in person or by email only.
