The United Nations has proclaimed June 21st as the “Interna-tional Day of Yoga.” In line with this, Itaewon Global Village Center, will hold a Yoga class every Wednesday starting June 21st until July 26th, from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
This six-day yoga course, aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga. We also would like emphasize the importance of making our health the priority even while living in another country. Especially in countries, like Korea, where language barrier can be an issue, this Yoga class will be led by an English-speaking instructor.
Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. The word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness.
Today it is practiced in various forms around the world and continues to grow in popularity.
The participation fee for the class is 20,000won (for 6-day course). Please book (and pay) early as places are limited. This class will be held at the Yongmun-dong Community Center (near Hyochang Park Station).
