Job Description | "KNDA Full-Time English Instructor Job Announcement" The Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) is the primary training and education facility for diplomats of the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As part of our diplomatic English training program we provide courses in English-related communication skills such as debate, speech writing, correspondence, socializing, etc. We are currently planning to hire one full-time English instructor that meets the following qualifications: |
Job Requirement | Required Qualifications: ㆍMaster’s Degree in English Education/Communication/Political Science/ Diplomacy/or related fields ㆍProfessional work experience of at least five years in an established institution or business ㆍA minimum of three years of adult English teaching/training experience *Preference given to those who have experience in university, government or corporate settings Preferred Qualifications: ㆍFamiliarity and work experience in the public sector especially government, universities, and/or international organizations ㆍFlexible and familiar with Korean administrative, social and educational culture ㆍProfessional international experience/work experience in intercultural contexts ㆍFamiliar and knowledgeable about International Relations, International Politics, International Business, International Conferences, Diplomatic English (Debate, Diplomatic Writing, Correspondence Speech Writing, and other diplomatic communications) ㆍF-class visa holders |
Guidelines for Applicants | Primary Responsibilities: ㆍTeach diplomatic communication skills classes in English ㆍDevelop relevant course curriculum ㆍPrepare English training and teaching materials ㆍAssess and evaluate trainees ㆍProvide feedback for improving English programs ㆍParticipate in planning and evaluation of various English language programs ㆍOccasional Editing Employment Period: One-year contract (can be extended in accordance with mutual agreement) Salary: Commensurate with educational background and relevant work experience (approximately 3,800,000 KRW per month) Working Hours: ㆍSeven hours per day(9am-4pm or 10am-5pm) with a one hour lunch break from Monday through Friday (includes class teaching time, curriculum development, class preparation, office hours, and meetings as needed) ㆍDuring the Six-week Intensive English Program for Diplomat Candidates or other intensive programs as required, working hours will be adjusted to 9am-6pm (regular full-time working hours). |
