On Tuesday, October 31st, 2:00pm-4:00pm, will be taking a trip to the National Folk Museum of Korea for “Songpyeon Making Class.” Participants will have a chance to make a Korean Traditional rice cake, Songpyeon.
Songpyeon is one of the most popular homemade Korean dishes for holidays. Songpyeon are half-moon shaped rice cakes that contain sweet or semi-sweet fillings, such as sesame seeds and honey, sweet red bean paste or chestnut paste, all steamed over a layer of pine needles, which gives them the fragrant smell of fresh pine trees.*In case you are allergic to nuts, you can skip the ingredients.
In this class, participants will learn how to make Songpyeon step by step from the beginning to steaming, and also eating. It is also okay to bring them home. There would be enough Songpyeon to make per person.
Don’t miss a fun event to make Songpyeon by your own hands.
The participation fee is 5,000 won (per person/Cash Only). You can sign up in person or by email only
