On Friday, November 24th, 2:00-4:00pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a History of Baekje(BCE 18-660CE) Cultural experience program “Nice to meet you Baekje” The program is an education program operated by the Seoul Baekje Museum for for foreign students, children, and workers who reside in Seoul.
Seoul Baekje Museum
The Seoul Baekje Museum showcases the long history of this region since the Paleolithic period, focusing on Hanseong (old name of Seoul) period of Baekje, in particular. With its capital established along the Hangang(river), the Baekje culture flourished in this area(Seoul) which had powerful influence on neighboring countries. Baekje moved its capital southwards to Gonju city in 465 CE.
The program is combined with Baekje Historical class (20min), Exhibition Tour (50min) and Craft making(50min). During the craft class, you will make a brooch and Korean traditional pouch using the Baekje style of design.
Don’t miss the chance to explore the Baekje Museum and learn about the Baekje History. This activity is free of charge. The venue of this event will be near Mongchontoseong Sation(line8) in Songpa gu. Specific details will be emailed to you once you send us an email for reservation.
