On Friday, January 26th, 4:20pm~5:50pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold an Afterschool Etiquette Class for Kids.
The Etiquette Factory is a unique learning experience designed to change the world, one child at a time. Because teaching manners is more than just which fork to use, The Etiquette Factory has manners' lessons from "basic etiquette" to "specific etiquette" rules such as being polite, table etiquette, integrity, proper introductions, empathy, anti-bullying techniques, and communication skills in order to instill leadership and social confidence in children's daily lives.
Lesson for January: New Year, New Manners!
1. Electronic Devices Etiquette.
-In this day and age, members of the younger generation are growing up with a smartphone or tablet in their hands and they know how to use those tools, However, they don’t generally know how to put them down.
2. Writing thank you notes; What are you thankful for the past year.
-Today, we are quick to send a text or email, which is appreciated as well, but I fear we are not putting enough effort into taking the time to personally pen a letter or note. Parents, I want us to teach our children this valuable skill.
3.Polite Conversation & Teaching Active Listening Skills.
-Active listening and polite participation in conversation is a very important life skill that will carry kids into adulthood.
The participation fee for this class is 8,000won. You can sign up in person or by e-mail only. To sign-up by e-mail, please e-mail us your name, nationality and phone number.
