|Subject||Japchae & Bulgogi Cooking Class|
|On Thursday, March 29th, 10:00am-12:00pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a Korean cooking class “Bulgogi and Japchae.”
The first dish we are going to make is Bulgogi is a Korean dish that consists of grilled marinated beef. It is believed to have originated from Goguryeo, when it was called “Maekjeok.” In Joseon Dynasty, it was called “Neobiani” and was prepared especially for the wealthy and the nobility. Nowadays, it is enjoyed by everyone.
Another dish that we will make is “Japchae”. It is made from sweet potato noodles (dangmyeon), stirred in sesame oil and soy sauce with vegetables and beef. Japchae has been served at Korean parties and special occasions.
The venue of the class is Cheongjeongwon cooking studio near Ewha Woman’s Univ. The participation fee is 15,000won. You can sign up in person or by email only.
