|On Friday, May 18th, 10:30am-12:30pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center, together with “Talk to Me” (Korean Immigrant Women’s Association), will hold a “Vietnamese Banh Mi Cooking Class.” Do not miss the chance to learn the Vietnamese food culture through cooking.
What is a Banh Mi?
Originating on the streets of Saigon, the Banh Mi sandwich is a French-Vietnamese hybrid consisting of an airy baguette, sour pickled daikon and carrot, crisp cilantro, spicy chilis, and a cool sliver of cucumber surrounding any number of protein options, from sweet minced pork to fatty pate to sardines.
This class will be taught by an international cooking teacher ‘Chiwoan Ho’ from Vietnam.
The venue of this event will be near Sookmyung Women’s Univ Station(line 4). Specific details will be emailed to you once you have made your payment. The fee would be 15,000 won. You can sign up in person or by email only.
