|On Monday, November 19th, 10:30am-12:00pm, the Itaewon Global Village Center will hold a “Chuncheon-style Spicy Stir-fried Chicken, Dakgalbi Cooking Class” which is offered by Seocho Tourist Information Center. Dak-galbi (닭갈비), or spicy stir-fried chicken, is a popular Korean dish made by stir-frying marinated diced chicken in a gochujang-based sauce with sweet potatoes, cabbage, perilla leaves, scallions, tteok (rice cake), and other ingredients. Combinations of the ingredients can vary depending on one’s own taste. The dish is a local specialty of Chuncheon, and is often referred to as Chuncheon-dak-galbi.
Participants will be grouped into a team (two people per team). Participants will have the option to adjust the seasoning depending on their preferred level of spice. After cooking, participants will have some time to enjoy Dakgalbi with rice as lunch. They will also have an option to take it home.
The fee would be 10,000 won (per person). You can sign up in person or by email only. (Only Foreigners can join this program.)
