The first half of 2019 came to an end! It was a journey made us happier thanks to you. Here are five special moments Seoul Global Center shared with foreign residents in Seoul.
Since March, our center is offering counseling services in Spanish on Mondays and Wednesdays. Spanish speakers now can get counseling regarding difficulties in their mother tongue.
Other than Spanish, we offer counseling on administration, education, medical services, transportation, financial services, health and welfare, immigration, etc. in 12 different languages.
Feel free to ask for help if you face any difficulties as a foreign resident in Seoul.
Filing taxes is a must in Seoul, but where do you get assistance for taxes?
Since June, our center is offering professional counseling services regarding tax affairs.
Feel free to use the service, offered in various tax-related topics, on Mondays between 14:00 and 17:00. Professional counseling on legal affairs, labor affairs, and real estate in order to protect rights of foreign residents are available as well.
Sixty-two volunteers consisting of Chinese students and Korean volunteers, from Seoul Global Center and Seoul Volunteer Center joined hands for
“Planting Trees for Healthy Forests and Clean Breathing” event at Noeul Park, celebrating Sikmogil (Korean Arbor Day) on April 5th.
The activity has allowed Korean and foreign residents share the value of protecting the environment and take another step forward towards making a cleaner Seoul Sky.
Seoul Global Center is continuously recruiting volunteers. Apply on SGC Homepage to participate in rewarding activities to create a better Seoul life.
Our center is putting great efforts into improving the quality of Seoul life by providing various training programs foreign residents can benefit from in many areas such as disaster preparation, labor affairs, visa issues, etc. We organized 3 programs with participation of 210 residents from Mongolia and the Philippines and received great attention especially for topics such as labor affairs and visa issues. Stay tuned for self-improvement programs we are preparing for the latter half of 2019.
The Basic Counselling Training was held from May 22nd to 24th in order to train prospective counsellors in 7 different topics including service attitude, Immigration Act, Labor Standards Act, etc.
Out of 29 attendees from 9 different countries, 27 completed the program.
We hope our newly trained counsellors will actively serve foreign residents for a better Seoul life!
