Alien Registration
Alien Registration Eligibility and Period
Foreigners who intend to stay in Korea for more than 90 days after entry must complete alien registration. The application must be made within 90 days of the date of entry. If they are newly granted a status of stay or change their status of stay, they must also complete alien registration.

Required Documents for Alien Registration
- Passport (original and copy)
- Integrated Application Form
- 1 passport photo (3.5cm × 4.5cm)
- Fee: KRW 35,000
- Proof of residence document

Additional Documents for Marriage Immigration (F-6)
The following additional documents are required from the Korean spouse.

- Family Relationship Certificate for Children (if applicable)
※ Only documents issued within the last 3 months are accepted.
Application and Collection of Registration Card
Alien registration must be applied for at the immigration office (branch office) with jurisdiction over your place of residence. You can receive your card through the following methods.
- Pick-up in person at the immigration office
- Courier delivery (additional fee applies)

The Alien Registration Card is an official form of identification for foreigners and must be carried with you at all times. Failure to carry your card may result in a fine of up to KRW 1,000,000.
Reissuance of Alien Registration Card
You must apply for reissuance in the following cases.
- If you've lost your card
- If your card is damaged
- If there is no space left on the card
- If your name, gender, date of birth, or nationality has changed

- Passport
- Integrated Application Form
- 1 photo
- Fee: KRW 35,000
Return of Alien Registration Card
You must return your Alien Registration Card in the following cases.
- If you leave Korea permanently
- If you acquire Korean nationality
- In the event of death
