- Starting Mon, Nov. 18, certified global realtors will provide direct counseling every Monday at the Seoul Foreign Resident Center in Yeongdeungpo

- Comprehensive support will be available in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, and four other languages, covering topics such as purchase and sale, leasing, and legal disputes

With the growing number of international residents in Seoul, cases of jeonse (housing lease on a lump-sum deposit) scams and housing lease disputes are increasingly affecting foreign residents as well as Korean citizens. To address these issues and facilitate smooth dispute resolution, the Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) has announced plans to provide comprehensive real estate transaction consultations for international residents.

The consultations will be held every Monday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, starting Mon, Nov. 18, at the Seoul Foreign Resident Center in Daerim-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu. An English-speaking licensed real estate agent will provide direct counseling, while the center’s multilingual counselors—proficient in seven languages, including English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Mongolian, Russian, Uzbek, and Urdu—will assist with interpretation for other languages.

International residents seeking real estate consultation can visit the Seoul Foreign Resident Center, call (☎ +82-2-2229-4900), or email (help@sfrc.seoul.kr) to apply. Multilingual counselors will first provide basic consultation and, if necessary, connect applicants with a globally certified real estate agent.
