Winter Season Understand correctly how to prevent freezing and fire! Prevent water meters from freezing 1. Leave the water tap slightly open to keep the water flowing through the pipes before leaving the house for a long trip when the weather is extremely cold. 2. Fill the interior of the water meter box with insulation material such as used clothing, and seal the box with vinyl wrapping before closing the lid. 3. Pipes located outside should be wrapped tightly with insulation material. 4. If pipes are frozen, slowly thaw with warm water at around 30-40 degrees Celsius. ※ Do not use water hotter than 50 degrees Celsius, torches, or hair dryers. Prevent heating equipment from fire 1. When using heating equipment that had been stored away, always check the condition of cables and the power cords. 2. Use products that are certified to meet safety standards. 3. Unplug the power cord of the heating equipment when leaving your home. 4. Neither dry laundry nor place flammable items like lighters near heating equipment. 5. Electric blankets should not be used with various layers of blankets. 6. Electric blankets should be stored in rolled-up form, never folded.
